One bowl, taken apart. The noodle orbits closest, then the ingredients, then the methods — and each satellite is coloured by the community that contributed it, not by what it is. The ring around the outside is the answer to “whose dish is this”, assembled from the parts rather than from the label.

The question the dataset was built to answer: which threads are actually in this bowl. It
walks uses_noodle / uses_ingredient / uses_technique
out to each component, then contributed_by back to a community, and totals it.
No dish label is consulted at any point.
Curry Mee is the clean four-way case — Chinese noodle, Indian spice, Malay coconut, and a Chinese blood cube that pins the whole thing on one side of the halal line. Then look at Mee Suah Koh, which is almost pure Hokkien and barely creolised at all. Same island, opposite answers.
